Need the trigger to have a spring to it. Sear would need to be tough enough to stay intact, too. Steel would work. Aluminum would likely crack. (Will be at the small bore for the expo. Stop by if you get a chance!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-6937410343209244662016-11-03T22:35:11.035-04:002016-11-03T22:35:11.035-04:00Mark uses a CNC machine because he has one. Are y...Mark uses a CNC machine because he has one. Are you familiar with the YouTuber Royal Nonesuch? He makes all sorts of firearms, (and I think I recall reading he's Mark Serbu's son in law). Royal Nonesuch makes one of these with a jigsaw, an angle grinder, and a bunch of very low tech tools. I think he said it took all morning. Mark gave him a head start.

His video

I think aluminum would work for the frame. That second video will let you see exactly what it's doing.

I think I'd mill a little notch, about 20 mils deeper than a .22 rim in one place and add an extractor, even if it's totally manual.
SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-75524817351770504332016-11-03T22:05:36.567-04:002016-11-03T22:05:36.567-04:00The biggest kits are in the cars.
