I don't really see a lot to be "excited" about. I have hopes but not confidence. The batteries in a Prius cost about $8,000 to replace. For $8,000 I can lease a nice BMW for three years. When the costs are put into context the advances in batteries are not so great. And of course I haven't touched on the car fires and house fires these wunder batteries cause. I have long waited for ...That is freaking awesome! I have long waited for someone to provide a solution to drain the cell games and lose charging capacity. Actually, current battery manufacturer's have a sweet thing going with all the mobile devices proliferating (for both rechargeable and non-rechargeable types) and not only batteries not being replaceable any longer but somehow not even holding enough charge like they did in the oldern days when tech used to suck more juice. I've noticed that with my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone. I have to charge it daily. My old flip phone I could go 2-3 days without charging. Yeah, I know its a SMART phone ... but ...<br /><br />Anyhoo, let's get this news spread far and wide. This is like some new kind of engine that could put a crimp in the oil business except for the guys in the petrol industry squelching any new ideas to that effect. Just wait till we see the price on this new doohickey. Won't be cheap until it gets way down that volume curve.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
