Nope.

For a completely unrelated reason, I had recently downloaded a copy of the June 1976 issue of 73 Magazine. I started looking and quickly found "Amp L'Anny" The company was Tri Tek.

A quick search shows a couple of places by that name, so I can't be sure if it's the same place, still in business. Could be.

SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-78544391194744696502017-05-31T18:29:47.049-04:002017-05-31T18:29:47.049-04:00No need to buy anything! Hope you find and post the ads for the radio surplus house that featured the busty figurine known as "Ample Annie".Jeromehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15565841539322444604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-87629485406244485452017-05-30T22:02:10.081-04:002017-05-30T22:02:10.081-04:00Au contraire, I do believe I remember that one. It was known at the time that there are people who will buy anything, and the ads were cheap (I had one in a couple of magazines for selling a computer game – and I actually made back the cost of the ad). Being a physics guy, the "Quantum Mechanic" caught my eye. I think this is the real deal (pretty expensive for 1978, too).Malatropenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-26491793839380643092017-05-30T12:52:05.451-04:002017-05-30T12:52:05.451-04:00I never thought it was in PM, just a parody. It's a real hoot to haul one down occasionally and see how far we've come (and how far we've fallen, given the quality of the DIY projects in the early ones).Malatropenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-81136047130707084702017-05-30T11:44:56.368-04:002017-05-30T11:44:56.368-04:00I thought it was Popular Mechanics. It looks too sophisticated for Popular Science, and I don't think Mechanix Illustrated was still going in 1978 – so I'm going with Popular Mechanics.Malatropenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-30949662600257772712017-05-30T11:34:24.743-04:002017-05-30T11:34:24.743-04:00I wonder what the shipping costs are on the Cyclot...I wonder what the shipping costs are on the CyclotronAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
