I just downloaded a catalog with applications information from Korloy, one of the big names. 1172 pages.

Since we're on the topic, Sherlines are odd in taking 1/4 square cutters and those are relatively harder to find. I have a set with an unknown (not TiN coated) inserts that looks like this except with 1/4" square holders. The thread cutter in my set doesn't look as sharp as the one I was using.

I'm thinking of these on the recommendation from someone on a forum I read. If you can see the threading insert, it's rough in this listing, the thread cutter has a better shape.
SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-26583290014286065302019-01-05T07:38:27.610-05:002019-01-05T07:38:27.610-05:00There can be even MORE duplicate parts in a rotary...There can be even MORE duplicate parts in a rotary engine:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycoming_XR-7755

}:-]

Go big or go home???

Like UCF this week...Mark Matisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-80783257382228039212019-01-05T00:22:04.158-05:002019-01-05T00:22:04.158-05:00In my modest efforts, I've been using indexabl...In my modest efforts, I've been using indexable insert cutters, which are available in an enormous variety of sizes, shapes, and designs. Carbide or steel, the steel gives a nicer finish. Apologies if I'm saying stuff you already know.
littlemachineshop.com

Ritchiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08075903551422300106noreply@blogger.com
