This is not...Civil forfeiture is unconstitutional. This is nothing more then stealng by our government. I would also go one step further and say that there should be no fines of any kind as "punishment" for offenses. The police and courts have proved over and over that they are corrupt when to comes to fines. Most fines get put right back into the justice system so there is a bias on the part of police and courts to find guilty and fine everyone. My county sheriff declared that funding for his office was so bad that they would no longer respond to 911 calls for anything less then murder. Yet there are two full time motorcycle police ticketing speeders on the Parkway where the speed limit is 45 mph on a four lane divided highway that should be at least 55 mph. <br />In merry old England the king tried to make their highways safer for travelers by putting soldiers on the highways to patrol and protect. It didn't quite work out the locals called these soldiers "highwaymen" and over time they committed the majority of the robberies on the kings highway and the name "highwayman" became synonymous with highway robbery. That's what our police and sheriffs have become. End all fines and bring back justice.
