(Via Politico) […] White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham confirmed, calling Hicks “one of the most talented and savvy individuals I have come across.” Hicks departed the White House in March 2018 after working as communications director for Trump. She then moved to Los Angeles to work in a senior communications role at Fox Corporation. It's also being reported that John McEntee is returning to the West Wing after being fired in 2018 by then-White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. McEntee is described as a “loyalist.”
[…] Hicks’ return to the White House gives Trump an ally who’s adept at translating his wishes to the broader staff.
Hicks was always well-liked among the communications and press staff, getting along well with the competing factions from the 2016 campaign and the Republican National Committee.
In his post-acquittal initiative to finally clean the federal government of Obama holdovers and “never-Trumpers,” President Donald Trump has appointed a trusted loyalist to head up the Presidential Personnel Office, reports say.The article linked above at Free Pressers gives their summary in the title, “No More Mr.Nice Guy.” They believe Trump is going to surround himself with loyal people like Hope Hicks and John McEntee in an effort to start getting rid of Obama-holdovers and “Never-Trumpers” on the inside who have opposed him and slowed him down.
...
McEntee is reportedly very close with White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller from their days on Air Force One and the 2016 Trump campaign.
Administration officials told Axios that the president “feels he’s surrounded by snakes and wants to clear out all the disloyal people. Trump sees McEntee as the ultimate loyalist, and he has assigned him the powerful role of picking personnel across the federal government.”
Axios reported that “Trump has been asking for names of people he should fire. Many on the outside are more than happy to oblige.”It's about damned time!
Red State offers this perspective:
Unlike a George Bush (either of them), Donald Trump arrived in Washington, D.C. with no connections to the DC policy establishment. In fact, he arrived after a bruising primary and general election that left him alienated from the GOP establishment. The GOP establishment might not have called his supporters “a basket of deplorables” but they nodded their heads and chuckled when they heard it. The same establishment had gotten rich and fat off illegal immigrant labor and outsourcing American jobs to wherever. They were used to keeping the GOP base in line with promises and crumbs (George W. Bush had GOP majorities for 6 of his 8 years, how much did they accomplish in regards to slowing illegal immigration or reducing abortion?) while delivering zero. When Trump arrived in Washington he was reliant upon the very same people who had opposed his election to staff his administration. [Bold added: SiG]Don't look now, but the left has tied the president in knots since he walked in - quite obviously planned from before the election. Andrew McCabe was let off the hook last week. Yeah, Trump was acquitted in his impeachment trial, but they're starting right back in and going after Attorney General Barr as well. The entrenched deep State is winning. Barr and Durham are two guys against thousands in the deep state. What chance do you think there is it can be cleaned up?
No offense meant here SiG, I hope you know that but I keep seeing everyone whining and sniveling about McCabe, "getting off".
ReplyDeleteThose of us who have been following Q for a long time, (ever since the first week he posted for me) know that there is still a whole lot more coming down the pipe.
Basically it goes like this, you don't go through the trouble of charging and arresting the guy for Jaywalking when you have him dead to rights for far more serious charges. They didn't charge him for that because there is much, much more coming. Same with Comey, Brennan, Clapper and the whole lot of the treasonous bastards.
Q reposted this the other day, the first time was LAST YEAR.

Bigger [slam-dunk] charges coming?

It is a long video.

Q and everyone associated with the Military Psyop knows damn good and well that they only have one chance to make their case and make it water tight.
These things take a long time. It took a long time for The Deep State to get where they are at and it's going to take a long time to fix. They all and I do mean all, know that We The People will fix it for them if they don't and I don't think I need to elaborate on the methods that will be used.
Sorry for the rant, hope this straightens out this McCabe thing.
No offense taken, Phil. My thing with Q is that I don't trust them either. I keep hearing "be patient, things are happening behind the scenes" and yet we see nothing happening. Action beats talk.
DeleteI don't trust Q for a couple of reasons. First, (to borrow your line) anyone familiar with Psyops knows that a disinformation campaign is another priority. Does the talk from Q keep people in their houses and not going medieval on Deep State operators? That's a positive from their standpoint. The other reason is basically the same reason I don't trust McCabe, Comey or the rest of them. I've had those deep black clearances and if they're letting on what's going on behind the scenes, they're violating them as much as the people I'm bitching about.
I know you believe them and follow them, I don't trust anyone until they have a proven track record. As I always say, "In God we trust; everyone else bring data and keep your hands where I can see 'em".
No excitement until indictments.

DeletePosted in our meeting room.
I don't trust a Q I don't know.
I like what Borepatch said.
But I did hear other people making similar observations.
DeleteJust because McCabe walked on this, doesn't mean he's walking away from Durham.
We'll see.
The thing about not walking away from Durham is that we have - or maybe it's just me and I have - no idea how many people are investigating this. In the worst case you've got Barr, Durham and maybe 10 assistants each trying to investigate and write good prosecutable cases against what? a thousand people? Thousands of people? So far, they've been at it a year and there's talk Durham's report is coming out "this summer."
DeleteDoes that mean it will take over a thousand years to indict the people who need it?
What are the chances anything positive happens?
While the main agenda behind the impeachment farce (which shows no sign of stopping as the Demonrats appear to be queing up their NEXT attempt at impeachment) is to unseat Trump and replace him with someone amenable to the power structure a secondary motivation for the impeachment circus is to keep EVERYONE including Trump occupied with the smoke and mirrors of this travesty and distracted from the very real seditious, treasonous conduct of MANY MANY
ReplyDeletebureaucrats and insiders. As long as Trump is fighting to keep from being removed from office it's a lot harder for him to go after the corrupt insiders.
As long as Trump is fighting to keep from being removed from office it's a lot harder for him to go after the corrupt insiders. Exactly!!
DeleteI'm not saying he has done no good - he really has. But it's like getting your house painted while swatting at mosquitoes or stopping to avoid wasp nests. He could be getting much more done without having one hand held behind his back.
They've effectively hobbled him.
Is Trump Peparing To Really Go After the Deep State?
ReplyDeleteNo, he's preparing to get reelected.
When I see them building hanging scaffolds in Lafayette Park in D.C., for public executions in batches, I'll believe he's got a wartime consigliere.
ReplyDeleteUntil then, it's just more boob bait for the bubbas.
If you have ever heard of Jonathon T Gilliam, the author and radio fill in radio host, he has the following to say on this; -#QAnon is a fraud - there is no "plan" - Deep state does what it wants - Theres a two tier justice system - Theres no mass secret indictments against politicians - Socialism, communism, and globalism are basically the same - RNC and DNC are private companies - truth trumps opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'm not holding my breath either, so my short answer to the headline question is a flat "no". And no, it ain't gonna happen after the election either.
The reality is that Trump has had THREE YEARS to nail someone's, anyone's, hide to the wall. Worrying about impeachment should have HASTENED the action, not slowed it down. Obviously there was the wrong focus on what needed to happen. If it hasn't happened by now, it never will.
ReplyDeleteJust like he is dismantling the Lightbringer's agenda, so will his eventual Dem replacement do the same to him. His only chance to make a difference was to EMPTY most all the offices in D.C., just like they used to do in the 19th century, and follow that by closing the worthless Departments. He blew it. Close, but no cigar.
