Sketchup Make is free; Sketchup Pro costs $700. I don't know enough about them to say if I'd need the Pro version. Rhino has been at version 5 for three years, I think, and lets all registered users play with the version 6 Work In Progress version.

With the popularity of 3D printing, more 3D programs are popping up.

SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-53472453150914184592016-09-22T11:04:39.280-04:002016-09-22T11:04:39.280-04:00Thanks SiG. The rendering, which is more cartoon-like than photorealistic, is from the built-in renderer. (Rendering programs are a completely separate subject to learn from design or CAD programs) The company that makes Rhino sells a few rendering programs as add ons and there are others available from other companies, too.
SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-11418527700544717842016-09-20T11:20:22.692-04:002016-09-20T11:20:22.692-04:00"Modeling", you CAD!
