Someone's going to get sick and miss a day. So you get ONE and only one chance to put a number there. Readjusting the record several times is fraud.

There's a joke in there about "playing with it all the time" or something down that road, but I can't think of a good version.
SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-933456609780123112018-08-08T15:20:43.012-04:002018-08-08T15:20:43.012-04:00If you keep "readjusting" the data to su...If you keep "readjusting" the data to suit your aims, then why bother to record it at all?

To my way of thinking, if you have to "readjust" it, why not just make it all up, which is what you're doing when you keep "readjusting" the data.

OH, I forgot! This is "settled science". Re: what drjim says about the surfac...Well said.

Re: what drjim says about the surface stations project - when it was first starting ('08?), that was the thing what really got me realizing it was a bunch of crap data. Then I noticed the tendency to readjust the data all the time. That just stinks of fraud. Sure enough, people have looked at the original data without the adjustments. Not only is the warming gone, there's slight cooling in many data sets.
SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-67245976721433638782018-08-08T00:17:18.733-04:002018-08-08T00:17:18.733-04:00I've studied and practiced sampling and sampli...I've studied and practiced sampling and sampling theory for over forty years. I will tell you that the methods used by the so-called climate scientists are so wrong that if one was standing in front of me with ice hanging from his face, saying it was freezing, I would ask for a second opinion from the village idiot.Ole Grumphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02332032222450924224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-48786892791136314532018-08-07T23:16:11.424-04:002018-08-07T23:16:11.424-04:00Poorly maintained instruments, in unsuitable enclo...Poorly maintained instruments, in unsuitable enclosures, sited amid heat islands.

Gee......who would have ever thought that might generate bad data?

This gets the "DUH!" of the century award.....drjimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647484115197408897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-57124193936900692762018-08-07T22:55:21.082-04:002018-08-07T22:55:21.082-04:00I worked with Anthony for a number of years when h...I worked with Anthony for a number of years when he did weather at KHSL TV in Chico, CA.
