Abortion anyone?

At best, you might restrain them through fear of punishment; fear of their own deaths. Probably only that.SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-2632376703950501412011-09-16T23:49:03.167-04:002011-09-16T23:49:03.167-04:00If, as it appears possible is indeed going to happ...If, as it appears possible is indeed going to happen, Gunwalker gets watered down, dragged out and eventually dies a quiet death from lack of Congressional support and an inability to indict and convict the people who approved it and those who orchestrated it, it will be the greatest tragedy in recent history. Not simply because of the deaths involved, but because it will reinforce the belief of those in power that they can get away with more than mere financial and political corruption - they can get away with being accessories to mass murder, murder permitted to happen in the furtherance of the "progressive" agenda of the disarmament of American citizens.

Our government has committed crimes which have directly led to the deaths of thousands of people. That they were mostly Mexican citizens doesn't diminish their significance a whit. But we know how easily our politicians and bureaucrats accept "collateral damage" of our own citizens - as at Waco - let alone the many thousands in other countries over the past few administrations. Murder is nothing new to our political "masters". This, however, is murder in the interest of destroying our Constitution. Murder that would have been blamed on a few gun shop owners, and upon the American gun culture, rather than upon the monsters who deliberately supplied the psychopathic cartel members with heavy weaponry.

For progressives, the ends will _always_ justify any means they see fit to stoop to, from lies to the assassination of a man's character to murder. The murder of Mexican citizens by cartel members, the murder of a family man in Tucson by a blood-thirsty SWAT team, the murder of 76 men, women, and _children_ by the FBI. 76 people (24 of them British nationals) died in that fire, including more than 20 children, and two pregnant women.

There is so much corruption in this administration, from Solyndra to Pigford to the New Black Panther debacle to Libya to the gift of GM to the unions that even those of us paying attention have become jaded, our sensibilities overloaded to the point where some of them (Pigford, for example) have simply fallen by the wayside, lost their significance, trees lost in the forest. I don't have much hope for Gunwalker to bring this administration down, as it needs to come down, but if anything is truly serious enough - especially with its international ramifications - this is it. The Mexican government appears to have been bought off though, perhaps by The Voice Of The Teleprompter through his executive order forbidding the deportation of illegals. I won't be holding my breath for the trials to begin, that's for sure.Reg Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14099612693763932005noreply@blogger.com
