Some time around the late 80's it was determined that it is a cancer causing substance. I don't recall any details. It is THE adhesive/cement remover. It was the only solvent that would dissolve optical cements in any practical time frame. It is the primary component of gasket remover sprays.

Use it cautiously on any sort of plastic or epoxy. If it's not metal or glass, do a test spot, and work to keep contact time to an absolute minimum. It is also used as a paint remover/stripper. When I worked with it on optics in the 80's-90's, there were no gloves that would stand up to it. That may have changed by now.Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722792638246578812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-2254114875691648252018-10-09T22:19:18.943-04:002018-10-09T22:19:18.943-04:00OOOPS....meant to say "3D printed AUTO PARTS&...OOOPS....meant to say "3D printed AUTO PARTS".drjimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647484115197408897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-710051647897729102018-10-09T22:17:01.854-04:002018-10-09T22:17:01.854-04:00That sounds like a lowpass filter.
