Most of it is actually in Palm Bay, the city where the gun show is/was being held.

Alien - interesting point about the holster being an AOW. I'll have to look into 790 and see if I can make sense of that.

SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-29603119967863735732014-03-09T06:08:00.440-04:002014-03-09T06:08:00.440-04:00FYI, "shoot through" holsters are risky ...FYI, "shoot through" holsters are risky ATF territory. Long and complex ATF rules, etc., but it has to do with their definition of what constitutes a handgun, and how that definition deals with a "unit" - in this case a handgun plus a "shoot through" type of holster, or other "carrying device" that allows discharge of the firearm from within the carrying device. You have a handgun and you have a holster; separate, no issue. But together it becomes an "any other weapon" and falls into that ATF classification.

It wouldn't surprise me if individual jurisdictions also imposed similar restrictions by simply copying some of the ATF language. I don't remember anything in FS Chapter 790 on it, but it's been a while since I looked at 790. And, even if there's no mention in 790, there might be in one of the other 56 states. That means the only thing that could pull the trigger would be YOU, in a perfect world that is.Dannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-83724709288261678102014-03-08T23:52:42.211-05:002014-03-08T23:52:42.211-05:00Is Harris still in Melbourne? Is Harris still in Melbourne?drjimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647484115197408897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-64239396777432019882014-03-08T22:58:28.777-05:002014-03-08T22:58:28.777-05:00Strangely, I've had more luck with knives at t...Strangely, I've had more luck with knives at the Vero show, but it's a good show. Palm Bay was about the same size, which surprised me.

A big plus is the parking lot wasn't full of political candidates, like Melbourne usually is.

SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-52404778445661112802014-03-08T22:29:57.405-05:002014-03-08T22:29:57.405-05:00Started to ride up there today but just went to th...Started to ride up there today but just went to the Vero show a couple of weeks ago. To me the MLB show is just to crowded. Last time I was there I picked up a Randall drop point.
I like the shows that producer puts on. The Vero show is just about the right size.

Terry
Fla.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
