He certainly has a dominating personality that pushes boundaries. A company's personality is usually set by the leadership and with SpaceX, they got a good blend of personalities to get it right.

While I'm here, Lab Padre is reporting that road closures are cancelled through the 29th. I'm not sure what the means in terms of getting SN8 out to the pad, but it seems that it pushes out the start of testing about another week.

SiGraybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280583031339062059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-15810820743464660372020-09-24T08:44:35.252-04:002020-09-24T08:44:35.252-04:00Because Elon was only 9 years old...Because Elon was only 9 years old...Malatropenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-23649644101162783472020-09-24T02:06:57.933-04:002020-09-24T02:06:57.933-04:00As speculated elsewhere, SN8 needs the aft fins in...As speculated elsewhere, SN8 needs the aft fins installed for pressure and cryo tests because of the physical deformation that can occur in both. They may well do the cryo test and manipulate the aft fins while in that state to ensure that there are no problems since the cold temperatures will change the size of the body of the Starship.

This stuff is so exciting. Why didn't it occur about 40 years ago or earlier? We would be on the Moon and Mars already if it had.BillBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17593147581583316765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592992209402300549.post-28838024758064594672020-09-23T23:24:17.823-04:002020-09-23T23:24:17.823-04:00SpaceX just keeps going, and going, and going........SpaceX just keeps going, and going, and going.....drjimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647484115197408897noreply@blogger.com
