Looks Like I Was Suckered

Not that there's any reason to feel bad about falling for a scam when you use a story from a national sources, but my previous post about the gay Republican campaign worker who was assaulted is based on a story that seems to be falling apart.

The Blaze in a followup article is reporting (from here):
In an interview this afternoon with Madison Police detectives, the victim in this case recanted his earlier statements in regards to this crime. This crime, alleged to have occurred on High Street in the South Police District, will be cleared as “Unfounded” for case reporting purposes. Once follow up investigation is completed, MPD’s case file will be reviewed with Dane County District Attorney’s Office.
I'll be the first to admit that I not only don't understand deviant psychology, I don't care to understand it.  Still, it's out there and you need to keep your head when reacting to things around you. One of the signs of deviant psychology is the sheer number of racist and hate crimes that are faked by their victims.  There are many of these, including a faked hate crime just a few days ago.  Sweetness & Light put up this list of faked crimes although it was back in '06/-'07.

So while the premise of the piece is wrong, I still stand by my conclusions.
Consider getting a concealed carry permit and never answering a door unarmed again.

  1. In the article from The Blaze, this statement was made: "If the scenario, as originally stated, isn’t accurate, one wonders how these injuries were sustained."

Considering the entire farce, especially the perpetrator of the false report, my guess would be that the markings on his neck may well have been due to an attempt at auto-erotic asphyxiation. Although, he might have had a partner in a bondage scenario, instead.

What a shame that he casts such a poor light upon the campaign he was associated with, in addition to betraying those who trusted and believed him. He might as well have been working for our gay, muslim-loving, America-hating President. They have a lot in common, including an aversion to the truth.
