Tell Me If This Hurts Your Eyes - II

I'm talking to you McThag.   Or anyone else who had problems with the translucent dark blue background I had.

More tweaking.  Blogger is a strange beast.  It says the description under the Title is a separate piece of text from the rest of blog entries, but it doesn't behave that way.  It has a color adjuster that's dedicated to that text, but it won't affect the color.

Now that part is hard for me to read, but I don't know how important that is.

  1. No, this does not hurt my whining eyes.

    1. I think there's a country song in there. "Your whinin' eyes" or "you just can't hide your whinin' eyes" or something like that. Where's my guitar?

    2. The second one, sure. The first was to the tune of "Your Cheatin' Heart" from 1953.

  2. Your "In the Tech World" is too dark. Make it the same shade as the links to the right and I think you've got yourself a winner.

    1. I've been trying. The tool in the "advanced editor" in blogger has an adjustment for it, but it's not adjusting. I'm trying to find it in the HTML.

    2. You seem to have fixed this problem with version 3 (getting rid of the transparent midground and the mountain background). I can't speak for McThag but this definitely works for me!

  4. Hmmm, I thinks the original one was outstanding, I am definitely a conservative, I don't like change at all. I know, call me an old cranky curmudgeon. As long as it ain't pink with lavender fringes and yellow text I can get used to it, embrace the suck so to speak...

  5. Black letters on very dark blue background? Ummmm ... no, I don't think so ...

  6. Direct answer to your question: Yes, if I try to read it. However, the color combo of black on blue is so poor that brain tells me to avert eyes so it doesn't get read at all. So if you leave it, just don't put anything important up there. KISS works for many things including web-page design. YOUR CONTENT here is more important. :)

    1. Well, as I said in the text yesterday, the part of the template that sets the blog description (right under the title) isn't working. It has a setting for the color but doesn't apply it. No matter what I set it to, it uses the same text as all the blog postings.

And everybody said the black on blue was too dark.

      I don't have many choices.
