Earth Day

It's time for our annual bacchanalia of the festival we call Earth Day.  Earth Day, as most of you know, is a holiday made up in the late 1960s at the start of the national environmental movement.  Ira Einhorn is one of the main founders of Earth Day, if not the guy who started it.  Ira practiced what he preached: he murdered his girlfriend (less stress on the planet) and composted her body in his closet.  (Hey - reduce, re-use, recycle!)
You won't find Ira Einhorn's name listed in any of the Earth Day promotional literature, as the organizers have taken great pains to distance themselves from this man, at least since he became better known for composting his girlfriend in a trunk in his closet for a couple of years in the late 1970s.
The movement led to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency, the High Priests of Junk Science, probably the single best example of an agency that has outlived its usefulness.

Over the years, I've wasted far too many minutes writing about Earth Day.  It's too long to sort through and pretty much all curmudgeonly, so I'll just say I hope you had a nice day.  Still, there are a a couple of good things to remember about the modern environmental movement.  Remember that nature wants you dead and most environmentalists prefer the wild animals over you (look at how they respond to wolf attacks on cattle or people) and you'll have a pretty good start.  In fact, it's probably easier just to say that mainstream environmentalists want you dead.
  • CNN Founder Ted Turner: "A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal."
  • Dave Foreman, Earth First Co-Founder: "My three main goals would be to reduce human population to about 100 million worldwide, destroy the industrial infrastructure and see wilderness, with it’s full complement of species, returning throughout the world."
  • Maurice Strong: "Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?"
Gee, the moderate guy only wants to kill off more than 95% of the human race.  See the current world population is around 7 billion people.  For Dave Foreman, 100 million out of 7 billion is 100 out of 7000 or 1.4 %.  At 300 million, Ted Turner would generously let 4.3% live.

And remember: your tire fire should be visible from Proxima Centauri.

    By any means necessary.

    1. Voters are closer to a root cause than their employees.

    2. Voters elect what they are ALLOWED to elect. As shown once again by the recent Alabama senatorial election. If a candidate is not able to self fund his campaign, he had better suck the Davos and Bilderberg crowd or he will lose.

President Trump only won the election because he was able and willing to fund his own campaign. When Reagan won the nomination in 1980, he was forced to put that filthy piece of Rockefeller Republican sewage on the ticket as his vice in order to get enough funding to win. And Shrub I then did everything he could to sabotage Reagan's presidency, especially once elected himself at the end of Reagan's term. The Koch-sucking Rove Republican swill are nothing more than the other end of the same steaming turd as the Democrats. They ALL are beholden to the Davos and Bilderberg crowd and their One World Government utopia. The only difference is that the two groups have different sets of cronies they want to let slop at the government trough while en route.

    3. Voters elect what they are ALLOWED to elect.

No, voters can write in any candidate they choose. In America there is no soldier standing over the ballot box making sure they vote for the incumbent. Voters also have the guns to demand their votes be counted accurately. Voting is a completely free, 100% unforced choice. As such, voters share complete responsibility with the candidate for the reasonably foreseeable behavior of their candidate. The voters are just as guilty as the LEO they hire.

Ross Perot bought TV commercials; Ron Paul had a blimp and roadside signs. They didn't need some large donor's money to get discovered by voters. If voters wanted to write these candidates in for president, nothing could have stopped them.

    4. Not in Florida they cannot. You might want to pull your head out of your rectum before you spout. And you know damn well that blimp and roadside signs were nothing in the electoral picture. But then lying is nothing new for "Law Enforcement" these days, is it?

All societies in every place and time are direct democracies, including those led by Mao, Stalin, Hitler, etc. If the largest faction of a population is 20% or larger, they will get whoever they want as political leader. Doesn't matter what the rules written on paper say.

And you know damn well that blimp and roadside signs were nothing in the electoral picture.

You seem to be claiming that humans are like ants, where separate animals do not have an independent thinking capability to make and act on big picture decisions. This is biologically false. Yes, voters usually choose the candidates who are advertised to them by the mainstream media. This produces a result where the existing power structure usually chooses its successors, and implements continuity of policy. Thank goodness we don't have Hillary for president, or we'd still have Obamacare and be at war with Syria. However, the pick of presidential candidate was a choice made independently by 200 million independent brains.

  2. Isn't an "einhorn" a "unicorn"?

    It doesn't matter, we're doomed.

  3. It always cracks me up, how these jackasses never volunteer to start the ball rolling (the lawyer in New York, notwithstanding, and being the only serious one in 40 years).

I turned on every light in my house, burned a tire in my fire pit, used old motor oil mixed with diesel fuel to kill weeds along my fence, and grilled dinner over charcoal. The hell with the damn hippies.

  4. Hey! Give Ira Einhorn some credit here. He practiced what he preached. His girlfriend was biodegradable ...

  5. When I was working on my commercial helo rating, my instructor had me take him to a logging company he had business with in White City, OR. The manager of that office had a plaque on his desk that read, "Earth First - we'll log the other planets later."

Mark, as is often the case you are absolutely right. We do vote only for those we are allowed to vote for. Examples: Ron Paul's votes were counted by a Republican Party that refused to let him win the primary. Some towns supposedly had cast no votes for him, when a large number of the voters in that town swore they cast their ballots for Paul.

Hillary. who had complete control of the DNC's money, shut down Bernie Sanders' primary run, deliberately.

People who have been paying attention know that these types of shenanigans have been going on since the start of our nation. There may have been a few outliers, but I don't believe Trump is one of them. I think it was understood that a psychotic Hillary could not be controlled, and that allowing Trump to win was a safer way to get through the next four or eight years.

In the meantime, using the progressive federal judges Obama appointed (over 300 of them), much of what Trump tries to do can be countered in federal court. The Deep State can exert a fair amount of control as well. This saves the oligarchs from having to deal with the civil war which _might_ have occurred if Hillary had been elected and was able to make life for us "deplorables" a living hell.
