Thank the conservatives for obeying the laws which make welfare possible. Without their support big government would dry up and vanish. They'll picket abortion clinics, but not IRS service centers.
For 8 of the last 18 years, Republicans held both houses and the Presidency. What did they accomplish in all that time? They created a new welfare benefit.
