It's the same old story: big business gets the state legislature to change the definition of feral from "wild" to "not belonging to Big Agra". All of a sudden anyone who isn't an approved "only one who can farm" gets their pigs killed - or sent to jail.
John Robb has the story. You are reading John, right?
In the World of the High Tech Redneck, the Graybeard is the old guy who earned his gray by making all the mistakes, and tries to keep the young 'uns from repeating them. Silicon Graybeard is my term for an old hardware engineer; a circuit designer. The focus of this blog is on doing things, from radio to home machine shops and making all kinds of things, along with comments from a retired radio engineer, that run from tech, science or space news to economics; from firearms to world events.
Yes, and it made me sick. If I was a farmer or still a small rancher (use to raise draft horses and dairy goats) that would be my line in the sand. I would cap those bastards a whole lot sooner than I'd shoot my own livestock, or let _them_ shoot them. I've had to put a few animals down, and it was hard, but it was necessary.
ReplyDeleteDoing it because some freaking bureaucrat says it has to be done just isn't going to happen, especially for such BS reasons. I can't understand why someone hasn't made a stand on this situation.
It's kinda worse than that. I'm pretty sure I heard one of the guys who had to put down his own pigs was Ted Nugent.
DeleteI heard that also about Nugent.
ReplyDeleteI guess some animals are more equal than others.....
If so, I wonder if it was before or after he made his recent comments about little Barry Homobama?
