Over the Transom

In yesterday's emails at work.  Maybe it only appeals to home shop guys, but everyone I know laughed at it.

  1. That's just freakin' HILARIOUS!

Horror Freight's tools and stuff *have* got better over the years, but a lot of the stuff is still crudely made, and lacks ANY support other than dragging it back for exchange.

ANY time you get a power tool from them, RUN IT HARD the first few times you use it. If it breaks, exchange it. If it doesn't, it's probably good for a fairly long life.

I bought my stepson one of their cordless drills and a box of bits after he borrowed my Makita, and left it outside over night.

So far he hasn't been able to break it......

  2. That is funny stuff right there!

  3. I have tears of laughter running down my face. The dogs and the kids are looking at me strangely. Cordless hammer ....

Well played. So very, very well played.

  4. Strangely enough, I do have a cordless hammer.

It's a little Ryobi unit that comes in very handy for driving in small nails where you can't swing a "real" hammer.

  5. The wife was about ready to call for an ambulance thinking I was having stroke or something. As a test, I looked at this post again this morning. Same reaction.

You are obviously violating some regulation by posting this. You will be punished.

  6. Some of those were really clever. The Mohel knife and carpenter's dreidel were great, and the multifunction tool with gaydar and a paternity tester was great.

    Thanks for sharing that.

  7. Tempted to take printed version to Harbor Fright for purchase...
