Makes 'Bout As Much Sense as Anything

From the emails today, although I have seen it around:
We know that the 9/11 Mooslims went to topless bars and did other things forbidden under their religion, and we know this guy in Orlando was apparently conflicted about being gay (you've seen the "self-loathing Muslim" meme going around).  Are they allowed to eat bacon to lie to non-muslims (taqiya)?

But it makes as much sense as anything the President or his minions have proposed.

Sorry for dropping off the radar.  I've been rather sick, in a totally new and different way.  Still haven't gone to the doc, but I might need to go to the urgent care place tomorrow if it doesn't get better.  Bad abdominal pain in the area right behind the bottom of my rib cage, below the sternum.  Just none of extreme symptoms they say to watch for.

  1. Go see a doc!
I had two friend who did NOT have severe symptoms, they thought they had the flu- both lived, barely, because they went to the ER after they basically collapsed at home- a appendix rupturing does not have to have the "standard" symptoms.

  2. Get thee to a Doctor!

My heart attack didn't have any of the "Generally Accepted Symptoms" either.

  3. Plus 1 on what drjim and raven suggest.
Best to get it checked out.

  4. Yes, agree with previous commenters - go to a doctor, please.

  5. Those signs and symptoms are consistent with the most common gastro-intestinal problem in this country: gall stones. You need a doctor, sir.

  6. It sounds like it's unanimous. ;-)

  7. Background checks: You remember when they began this program they told us the information would only be used to qualify the buyer and after the sale the information would be destroyed. Do you suppose our government destroyed it all or made a registration of guns with it?

    1. I thought they outsourced that to LGSes. Don't they make the LGS keep the records?

    2. The feds know who every gun owner in the country is. And they can do it without ever tracing a gun form, just by data mining. Ever buy ammo, a holster, a sling, a scope etc and use a Credit card? Subscribe to shotgun news or outdoor life? Buy gear from cabelas? Have a CCW? Buy a fishing license? Read this blog? White male? Republican? Take enough data points about someone and it is easy to determine if they are a gun owner. That new "consumer protection office" under the Treasury dept is data logging CC info. No one will escape by being "under the radar" . Sure there will be a ranking of priorities, but they know who we are.

    3. Just one more to add to the boot in the rear end ... what the heck are you waiting for? A personal invite? Go.

  8. Don't worry too much until Mommy starts buying term life insurance. ESPECIALLY if it's REALLY short term...

And for Anonymous, BATFE already copies the information from the FFL logs, in direct violation of the law. And NOBODY prosecutes them for doing so. Not under the Muslim in Chief. Nor under Shrub II before him. Nor under Slick before him. Nor under Shrub I either.

There is no "rule of law". And there has not been for MANY years now.

  9. Since so many of the comments are about me, I figured I should post an update. I'm in the local hospital ER and being admitted for gallstones. Hopefully just a "one night stand" but we'll find out tomorrow.

  10. Could you please ask them to do an elective appendectomy while you're there, since that seemed to be the consensus?

    Hope you're doing better soon!

    1. Well, here at 5PM on Monday, things have moved in a "less than hoped for" direction. Surgery will be tomorrow around noon. I would have liked to avoid that, but it's probably the best thing to do. With luck, I'll go home Wednesday.

  12. Thanks for the update. Hope all goes well tomorrow and you get home Wednesday. XYL, the former medical professional, reassures me that surgery is in order for that. I always ask IYKWIM
Will say a prayer for you.

  13. Good luck with your surgery. I'm sure you'll be fine. It's the most commonly performed surgery in this country, and if they can do it lathroscopically, you'll just have three little, bitty scars on your abdomen. A week or so of soreness and good as new.

  14. Hopefully you are successfully de-grogifying about now. Hopefully they removed everything they were supposed to remove. And didn't remove anything they weren't. Looking forward to seeing you wax poetic on your CNC project real soon.

  15. Hope you're feeling and doing better post-surgery! It's been too quiet here!
