Shooting Pigs in Michigan

It's the same old story:  big business gets the state legislature to change the definition of feral from "wild" to "not belonging to Big Agra".   All of a sudden anyone who isn't an approved "only one who can farm" gets their pigs killed - or sent to jail.

John Robb has the story.  You are reading John, right?

  1. Yes, and it made me sick. If I was a farmer or still a small rancher (use to raise draft horses and dairy goats) that would be my line in the sand. I would cap those bastards a whole lot sooner than I'd shoot my own livestock, or let _them_ shoot them. I've had to put a few animals down, and it was hard, but it was necessary.

Doing it because some freaking bureaucrat says it has to be done just isn't going to happen, especially for such BS reasons. I can't understand why someone hasn't made a stand on this situation.

    1. It's kinda worse than that. I'm pretty sure I heard one of the guys who had to put down his own pigs was Ted Nugent.

I guess some animals are more equal than others.....

  3. If so, I wonder if it was before or after he made his recent comments about little Barry Homobama?
