Quick question for any bloggers who drop by: is anybody else having trouble with blogger? Yesterday, I tried to load the "new post" page several times during the day and it never loaded. I'd let it sit for up to 10 minutes, and did that for over half an hour with it never opening.
Likewise the "design" page that allows me to edit the layout, and so on.
Today, they're loading but it just took at least a full minute for this page to load.
A few months back I was having similar problems. I tried all kinds of things: I unloaded all modules and reloaded them, I tried running with almost no modules, nothing seemed to work. What finally worked for me was I set my highly customized HTML design page to default. Basically deleting my customizations that I had built up over the years. I did make sure to save my original html code to recreate anything i needed however. Since then my blog has loaded super fast.ReplyDelete
I haven't touched any of those things in about a year, so the sudden onset is kind of weird.Delete
I do have a recent update of Firefox, so there's always that possibility.
No problems here...ReplyDelete
No, but this guy might be able to help:ReplyDelete
It's one of my running jokes that all of Google Blogger is run by two interns in Bangalore.Delete
Maybe it's not a joke.
Munbai... they are in MumbaiDelete
Yes, I've been having problems with blogger. My site (http://madjackshack.blogspot.com/) loaded slower than molasses in January and would actually time out with cryptic error messages. I complained to blogger - no joy. A friend of mine suggested a fix, which helped. Two days later the HTML had mysteriously fixed itself.ReplyDelete
Comments are being lost. I know, and both of us can prove, that comments at https://filthiestbox.blogspot.com/ are being deleted for no discernible reason. I'm not alone here, either. Several other blogger sites have lost my comments.
Check the missive: http://madjackshack.blogspot.com/2018/01/problems-with-blogger.html and the comments.
I've noticed the comments field taking long to publish, but they seem to get there. I mean, I press the send button and it just sits there for some time (15? 30? seconds), but then all is normal.Delete
As a blogger user, I have No Freaking Idea how I could ban a commenter, delay a comment, or file a comment into Blogger's suspicious or spam folders. Blogger, on the other hand, puts a perfectly fine comment in one of those pretty much every day or two.
The thing I was talking about, though, is at the top right of just about every blogger page I go to, there are the words "New Post", followed by "Design" (if I'm logged in). Either of those was taking forever.
