Do We Have Security in the Capital, or Kabuki?

My dominant thought when I saw Arizona Flake Jeff Senator cornered by a couple of left wing activists in an elevator is "why is there no security?"  "What did these twits have to do to get into the capital and harangue a senator? "  I can't visit a friend in the hospital without going through metal detectors, emptying my pockets, and getting photographed.  Did they?
The women who confronted Flake were Maria Gallagher and Ana Maria Archila, sexual assault survivors who are now being hailed as activists who may be “changing the course of history.”

Archila, a Queens resident, is the co-executive director at the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), an organization that works toward creating an “inclusive, equitable society” by advocating for “communities of colour, immigrants, working families, youth, women and the LGBTQ community.”

Gallagher, a New York resident, isn’t linked to the CPD directly, but is “just a passionate person,” the Miami Herald reported.

She had been in Washington for a week demonstrating against Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Both, of course, are funded by Dr. Evil, George Soros (H/T - 90 Miles from Tyranny)

I think these two are too self-centered to do it, but think to yourself what if one of them is wearing a suicide vest?  Get close to the senator and go in blaze of glory?  I always thought the capital was too well protected, but if someone can get that close there are lots of options without firearms or explosives.  Remember when Korean Fat Man Dear Leader Kim Jong Un had his brother assassinated by a girl walking up and wiping nerve agent on his face?  Unless they get body cavity searched, they can get enough VX into the building to do this.

I don't know what kind of security they have, but I suspect it's not as much as they need.  They'll find that out in due time.

  2. Flake is a weak man, and many would call him a 'pansy' (I'm being as kind as I can on your family friendly blog). He's a Republican, courted and wooed to caucus with the Democrats, who is HATED in Arizona, which is why he isn't seeking re-election. He couldn't get elected dog catcher back home. But he has his generous Senate pension to live on for the rest of his life.

  3. What it means is that the security of one or more senators snuck the two into the perimeter of Sen. Flake. That's the real issue. That seated senators are actively committing crimes using their staff.

But then again, that's been going on like forever. Just not been as bad as it now is.

    1. Right - and when you consider this whole thing has been political theater to drum up campaign funds and voter interest from "the resistance" from the start, it all adds up.

When Babs Feinstein is leaking the letter from the "confidential informant", the informant's lawyer is committing legal malpractice in not telling her client about the offer to do everything in secret and not on camera in front of the nation, someone on her staff, on the staff of Booker, Harris or any of the other 2020 presidential hopefuls, arranging this whole sordid scenario is the logical conclusion.

    2. Re: the porcine-eyed devil woman DiFi- we pretty well know the following in order of believability; 1 - accept the unlikely scenario that she and her staff found Ford's letter so un-credible that they had decided not to ever produce it as an accusation. 2 - realize that she perjured herself in a senate hearing with her vehement denial that she or her staff leaked it at the time it would be most destructive to the process and most likely to delay confirmation while being debunked after having held it through nomination, personal interviews, and open and closed sessions of the committee while simultaneously referring Ford to counsel hand-picked for her rabid anti-Republican bearing.

  5. These two were "vetted" and allowed in by someone. And yes.....security, even for the Capital Building is more Kabuki Theatre than reality. While it would be tough to get guns in just about anything else would be NO PROBLEM....ESPECIALLY bio/chem weapons. And just as many idiots think banning guns from a venue makes them safe they think that by proclaiming .gov buildings safe and secure makes said buildings magically safe and secure.

    1. As an engineer who did access control and perimeter detection systems for The Feral Gov most security is to keep the casual tourist out. Dedicated pros come in the holes with ease, either by brute force or stealth.

  6. We need to change perspective about security for senators and representatives on Capitol Hill. The goal should be to keep the criminals inside.

  7. The whole thing was most likely staged by Fake Flake and the #TransnationalProgressive DNC & Republicants (Yin/Yang of the Deep State).

It was kabuki pure and simple.

  8. A few dead senators might focus the survivor's minds. We should subtly encourage the Left to take out some RINOs.

  9. Used to do work in that building and the Congressional offices. It's fairly easy to get in - people and bags are scanned for weapons, but once you're in, moving around is pretty easy. Things have been restricted some over the years, but it wouldn't be terribly difficult to pull off what they did.

    1. I'm not surprised to hear that; other Fed facilities I've been in, with the sole exception of Military secure areas, focus on looking for prohibited items, not prohibited persons - there are several easy ways for non-ticketed airline passengers to get to an airport terminal as long as they can pass through security.
The .gov keeps making the mistake of filtering things and not people; if the people you let in are ok, it doesn't matter what they do or don't have - if you let in bad people, they WILL find a way to cause problems. It almost seems to me as if the .gov WANTS to be insecure and allow problems to happen...
